UniSS captures the visible area or a full web page, then lets you download, copy, or annotate the image. It runs entirely in the browser. There is no UniSS account and no UniSS server.
When you capture a page, UniSS reads the pixels of the active tab (HTTP or HTTPS only) and stores the resulting image locally so you can edit, copy, or download it. Settings such as capture mode, image format, quality, and interface language are also stored locally.
Storage keys live in the browser’s extension local storage (storage.local), including unissMode, unissFormat, unissQuality, unissAutoCaptureOnClick, unissLocale, and temporary editor fields unissEditImage and unissEditTs.
UniSS does not collect names, email addresses, passwords, payment details, location, browsing history, or analytics. It does not sell data, use data for advertising, or share data with third parties. Captures are not uploaded.
UniSS does not contact remote servers. The only fetches are packaged language files inside the extension (i18n/messages/*.json) via runtime.getURL. There are no remote scripts, CDNs, or trackers.
Data stays on your device until you clear it (for example by removing the extension or clearing extension storage). Uninstalling UniSS removes its local storage. Downloaded files are ordinary files you save; UniSS does not control those copies.
UniSS is a screenshot tool. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If UniSS ever starts sending data off-device, this policy will be updated before that change ships, and store privacy disclosures will be updated to match.
